A car-free island reached by ferry from Perth's Barrack Street Jetty, Fremantle (about 30 minutes) or Hillarys, home to the smiling quokka found only in Western Australia. Hire a bike to ride the 26 km loop past 63 beaches and snorkel trails at Parker Point and Little Salmon Bay, and keep a respectful distance from the wildlife.
