Eisriesenwelt Ice Cave
The world's largest ice cave, discovered in 1879, is reached by cable car plus a 20-minute uphill walk. The guided tour covers about 1 km with around 1,400 steps at near-freezing temperatures, so bring warm clothes and sturdy shoes and allow about three hours; it is closed in winter.
