Fortica (Hvar City Fortress)

The fortress above Hvar town, rebuilt in 1551 after earlier Venetian-era works, damaged by a gunpowder blast in 1579 and given Baroque bastions in the early 17th century. Inside is a collection of amphorae; wear good shoes for the walk up.
