Beneath the former churchyard of St. James lie the remains of an estimated 50,000 people, moved here after the churchyard closed in the 18th century, making it one of the largest ossuaries in Europe. Visit quietly and respectfully; music composed for the space accompanies the visit. Closed Mondays.
