Charles IV's Gothic residence is seen only on guided tours: the 55-minute basic tour covers the Imperial Palace and Marian Tower interiors, while the longer chapels tour, with medieval wall paintings on the Great Tower stairway, runs in the main season with limited places. In winter the basic tour runs mostly Friday to Sunday, so check the calendar and book online.
