Bastei Bridge

The 76.5-metre stone Bastei Bridge of 1851 spans sandstone pinnacles with views over the Elbe from 194 metres above the river; entry is free and the site is open all year. Bus 237 runs from Pirna, or hike up from Kurort Rathen; Neurathen rock castle can currently be viewed only from outside because of renovation.
