Umatac Village & Magellan Monument
An obelisk on Umatac Bay marks the 1521 landing of Ferdinand Magellan, and plaques around the small village explain Spanish colonial ruins and San Dionisio Church. Offshore in Fouha Bay is Fouha Rock, which ancient Chamorros believed was the resting place of the goddess Fu'una.
