On Ink and Bamboo: The Hua-e Jiaohui Lou Donation (Hong Kong Museum of Art)

Nearly 200 sets of works from the largest donation of bamboo carvings to a Hong Kong museum in forty years, showing how brushwork from paintings and calligraphy is carved into bamboo and wood and then returned to paper as ink rubbings. Free admission in the Chinese Antiquities Gallery on 3/F; pair it with a harbourfront walk outside the museum.
