Spike Island

Take the ferry from Kennedy Pier in Cobh to an island that has been a monastery, fortress and prison, with more than a dozen museums and exhibitions, guided tours and trails overlooking Cork Harbour. A visit takes about 3.5 hours including the crossing; it opens daily in the main season and only on limited days in the off-season.
