Murano & Burano
Venice's glassworks were moved to Murano in 1291, and the Glass Museum in Palazzo Giustinian holds the world's largest historical collection of Murano glass. Boats leave from Fondamenta Nove; continue to Burano, whose Lace Museum shows Venetian lace from the 16th to 20th centuries in the former lace school.
