Kamiari-sai at Izumo Taisha

During the lunar month when Japan's gods are said to gather in Izumo, the shrine holds a series of rites, starting with the evening Kamimukae-sai welcoming ceremony on Inasa Beach. Visitors can join at the beach site and follow the procession to Izumo Taisha; expect crowds and possible traffic restrictions.
