Kasuga Taisha Setsubun Lantern Festival

On Setsubun evening, all of the roughly 3,000 stone and hanging lanterns at Kasuga Taisha are lit after a bugaku court dance performance. The grounds are open to walk, and the inner corridor can be entered with a special visit fee of 700 yen.
