Kiyomizu-dera Autumn Night Viewing

For a short stretch in late autumn, Kiyomizu-dera stays open after dark and lights up its famous wooden stage, three-story pagoda and hillsides of red maples. The view of the glowing temple against the Kyoto night sky is one of the city's most memorable autumn scenes.
