Kanazawa's largest historic geisha district, a lane of wooden teahouses with fine latticed fronts where you can tour the Shima teahouse, an Important Cultural Property, and try gold-leaf sweets or a gold-leaf craft workshop. Eating while walking is discouraged, so enjoy snacks inside the shops.
