Nikko Toshogu Shrine
The lavishly decorated UNESCO World Heritage shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, where the admission covers the Yomeimon Gate, the 'Sleeping Cat' carving in the east corridor, the inner shrine and the 'Crying Dragon' hall. Gates close earlier in winter, and an audio guide in English or Chinese can be rented.
