Tsuruga Castle (Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle)
The only castle keep in Japan topped with red roof tiles, famous for holding out through a month-long siege in the Boshin War. Inside is a local history museum with views from the top floor, and you can enjoy matcha at the restored Rinkaku teahouse in the grounds.
