Hwacheon / Hwacheoncheon Stream
Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival
On the frozen Hwacheoncheon Stream, try ice fishing or bare-handed catching of sancheoneo (mountain trout), then have your catch grilled or sliced on the spot, plus snow and ice sledding. Night fishing runs 18:00-21:00, and the organizer says staying overnight in Hwacheon gets free night fishing and weekday ice fishing.
