Sokcho's big traditional market is split into alleys for produce, sundae (Korean sausage), salted seafood and dakgangjeong (sweet-spicy fried chicken), with a basement raw-fish center. Try a few dakgangjeong shops to compare; the raw-fish center closes on the second Wednesday of the month.
