Five islands just off Kota Kinabalu: boats leave from Jesselton Point and other city jetties for Manukan, Sapi and Mamutik, where calm water suits beginner snorkellers. A daily park entrance fee is charged per person, and at low tide you can wade the sandbank between Sapi and Gaya.
