São Bento Station Tiles

The entrance hall of this working railway station is covered with more than 20,000 blue-and-white azulejo tiles by Jorge Colaço, showing episodes of Portuguese history, daily life and the evolution of transport. The building by José Marques da Silva opened in 1916.
