Chillon Castle

Set on a rocky island in Lake Geneva for almost 1,000 years, the castle has 25 buildings, three courtyards and underground vaults, plus 14th-century murals and the dungeon made famous by Byron's poem. From November to February it opens 10:00–17:00 with last entry at 16:00.
