Chiayi / Xiding

Eryanping Trail for Sunsets and a Sea of Clouds

A short trail from the 52.8 km mark of Provincial Highway 18 passes bamboo, odd rock formations and tea gardens, looking out over the Chiayi-Tainan Plain and the Renyitan and Lantan reservoirs. The Xiding area is known for its sunsets and sea of clouds; the way back involves climbing steps.
