Lishan Christmas Tree in the Clouds (Valley Light Festival)

Two historic cedars about 28 m tall in front of Lishan Guest House, at 1,956 m above sea level, are lit up as giant Christmas trees, with light displays around the visitor center and viewing deck and a 3-minute music-and-light show every half hour (lights 17:00–21:00, free). Mountain nights are cold, so bring a warm jacket; the Guguan–Lishan section of Highway 8 is restricted, so check bus routes before going.
