Fo Guang Shan Monastery

A major centre of Taiwanese Buddhism, with a four-hall main complex, a great Buddha statue and thousands of statues in halls spread across the hillside. Late afternoon light on the temple roofs is a highlight; the grounds have a visitor centre and parking.
