Nishi Honganji Square
The restored grounds of a Japanese Pure Land Buddhist temple built from 1904 to 1912 at the south end of Ximending, where the bell tower, the head priest's Japanese-style residence (Rinbansho) and Shuxin Hall remain. It makes a quiet stop a few minutes' walk from the Ximending crowds.
