Alanya Castle and the Red Tower

On a peninsula above the sea, Alanya's mostly Seljuk citadel has walls of about 6.5 km, an inner castle with Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman remains, and a lighthouse. Down by the harbour, the 33 m Red Tower from 1226 houses an ethnographic display.
