Glenfinnan Monument & Viaduct

On the shore of Loch Shiel, the 18 m monument marks where clans gathered for the 1745 Jacobite Rising; climb the tower at set times for a view down the loch, and learn the story in the visitor centre. The famous Glenfinnan Viaduct is nearby; parking is very limited, so consider coming by bus or train.
