Göttweig Abbey
Founded in 1083, this Benedictine abbey sits on a hilltop at 422 m on the eastern edge of the Wachau and is part of the World Heritage site. The museum in the Imperial Wing is visited with an audio guide in German or English, and the abbey also has a restaurant and a shop.
