Watch the sun rise over the clouds from the 10,023-ft summit; every vehicle entering 3–7 a.m. needs a $1 sunrise reservation from Recreation.gov (released up to 60 days ahead) plus the park entrance fee. Pack winter layers, as pre-dawn temperatures can drop below freezing.
