Castel Sant'Angelo

Built as Hadrian's mausoleum, later a fortress, papal residence and prison. Open Tuesday–Sunday 9:00–19:30 (last entry 18:30); full ticket €18, free for under-18s and on the first Sunday of the month. Tickets are named (bring ID), the Passetto di Borgo is seen on guided visits, and there is no cloakroom.
