On the Sirmione peninsula lie the ruins of a vast Roman villa from the Augustan age, called the 'Grottoes of Catullus' since the Renaissance, with a museum and an olive grove of about 1,500 trees. Closed on Mondays; last entry is 40 minutes before closing.
