- The Valkenburg cave markets sell tickets for time slots, so book ahead and bring a warm layer for the cool cave air.
- The Amsterdam Light Festival route is about 4.5 km; walk it in sections or see the artworks from the water on a canal cruise.
- The Royal Christmas Fair in The Hague and GLOW Eindhoven are free to enter (only GLOW's drone show needs a ticket).
