Mautohe Cathedral Cove

The Coromandel's famous cove near Hahei is open for walking access via the main track, which DOC has restored after storm damage. The area is naturally unstable: the track closes and shuttles stop if NIWA issues an orange or red weather warning for Hahei, so check the weather before you go; the side track to Waimata-Gemstone Bay will not be repaired.
