Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne

A fully fenced sanctuary minutes from the city where rare native wildlife such as kākā, takahē and tuatara thrive in regenerating forest; roam on your own or join a guided day tour. Open daily 9am–5pm (last entry 4pm) with a free electric shuttle from the city, and Zealandia by Night tours look for tuatara, glowworms and maybe kiwi by torchlight.
