Good to know
- Christmas light displays are busiest on weekend evenings in December; weekday nights are much calmer.
- On New Year's Eve the MRT runs through the night, but stations near Taipei 101 get extremely crowded, so pick your viewing spot early.
- Evenings in northern Taiwan can be cool and damp in winter, so bring a light jacket.
