Anping Old Street (Yanping Old Street)

Said to be the first named street in Taiwan, this lively lane of snack stalls and old shops dates back to the Dutch era. Look up for wind lion gods on the rooftops and sword lion plaques over doorways, and slip into side alleys such as Jasmine Alley for a quieter stroll.
