Hagia Sophia

Built under Emperor Justinian in the 6th century and a place of worship again since 2020, Hagia Sophia is famous for its vast floating dome, golden mosaics and giant calligraphy panels. The Hagia Sophia History & Experience Museum, about a 7-minute walk away at the Hippodrome, adds the story of its construction.
