A former sugar plantation town on the north coast, about four miles into the drive to Hāna, with rustic storefronts, galleries, boutiques and the Pāʻia Fishmarket. Nearby Hoʻokipa Beach draws pro windsurfers and kitesurfers to big winter swells; watch from shore and follow posted signs.
