Ancient Theatre of Taormina

Taormina's main monument is its ancient theatre, with Mount Etna rising behind the stage and, on clear days, views across to the Calabrian coast. Afterwards, head down to Isola Bella, linked to the shore by a narrow pebble beach that is partly underwater at high tide.
