Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

During the street carnival, festivities take over the city centre with an opening parade, open-air dance nights, daytime "Carnaval de Día" parties and the grand Coso parade on Carnival Tuesday. The street programme follows weeks of contests and galas; expect crowds and plan transport and accommodation early.
