Maspalomas Dunes

A natural dune reserve on the island's south coast combining a palm grove, the protected Charca pond where migrating birds rest, and wind-shaped sand dunes that run into the long beach toward Playa del Inglés. The 55-metre lighthouse, first lit in 1890, stands at one end; stay on the marked paths to protect the dunes.
