🎲 Spin the gacha for Bern, Interlaken & the Jungfrau RegionFrom Interlaken Ost, trains and the Eiger Express gondola from Grindelwald Terminal climb to the Jungfraujoch, Europe's highest railway station at 3,454 m, where the Sphinx Terrace looks over the Aletsch Glacier and you can walk through the Ice Palace and on the snow plateau. Grindelwald First has the First Cliff Walk, the hike to Lake Bachalpsee and the First Flyer, First Glider, mountain carts and Trottibikes for the way down, while a funicular from near Interlaken Ost climbs Harder Kulm to the Two-Lakes Bridge lookout, facing the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau above Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. In Lauterbrunnen, a tunnel lift leads to the ten glacier waterfalls of the Trümmelbach Falls inside the mountain, and cable cars climb from Stechelberg via car-free Mürren to the Schilthorn and its 360° Restaurant Piz Gloria, with the Thrill Walk at Birg on the way. In Bern's UNESCO-listed Old Town, watch the figure play of the Zytglogge just before the hour, visit the Einstein House at Kramgasse 49 and BearPark Bern, then see the world's largest collection of works by Paul Klee at the Zentrum Paul Klee and take the 'King's Way' tour into the world of Emmentaler AOP at the Emmental Show Dairy.
Good to knowA seat reservation is recommended for the Jungfraujoch on fine days, and the Harder Kulm funicular does not run all year, so check its timetable. The Trümmelbach Falls open from early April to early November depending on the weather and do not admit children under 4 or dogs, and the Einstein House closes for a winter break from just before Christmas until February. The Zentrum Paul Klee is closed on Mondays, while BearPark Bern is free and open around the clock, with dogs kept on a lead.
