Gilded royal barges rowed in formation travel down the Chao Phraya from Wasukri Pier past the Grand Palace to Wat Arun. Viewing areas on both banks open in the afternoon; Tha Chang by the Grand Palace is the most atmospheric and most crowded, so arrive early.
