Binh Tay Market (Cho Lon)

Built in 1928, this busy trading hub of Cho Lon's Chinese community has 12 entrances and more than 2,000 stalls, mostly wholesaling spices, sweets, clothing and household goods. Stop in the airy central courtyard to look at the old architecture; many traders speak both Vietnamese and Chinese.
