The quieter bay east of Cat Ba Island, reached by boat or kayak from Cai Beo wharf. Tours pass Cai Beo, said to be Vietnam’s oldest fishing village with floating houses, and kayakers paddle through the Bright and Dark caves; combo boat trips often include lunch.
