Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son)

A cluster of limestone and marble peaks about 8 km southeast of the centre; on Thuy Son, the main peak, stone steps lead past pagodas, shrine-filled caves such as Huyen Khong and Am Phu, and the Vong Hai Dai lookout over the sea. An elevator takes you partway up for a small extra fee, and going early in the morning avoids the midday heat.
