Wat Phra Si Sanphet
The royal temple that stood inside Ayutthaya's Grand Palace grounds, with no resident monks, used for state ceremonies. Its row of three Sri Lankan-style chedis holds royal ashes, and it once housed a 16 m standing Buddha covered in gold; foreign visitors pay 80 baht.
