Wat Yai Chaimongkhon
A monastery founded in the reign of King U-Thong, southeast of the old city in the direction of the railway station. Its huge chedi, visible from far away, was built by King Naresuan to celebrate victory in an elephant-back duel; open daily 08:00–18:00, admission 20 baht.
