Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang

The most stately of the Hue tombs, completed in 1843 and laid out along a long, orderly axis of gates, courtyards and pavilions between ponds and pine-covered hills. The ponds bloom with lotus in spring. The burial mound itself sits behind a gate opened only once a year, but you can walk close to the trees that surround it.
