Bang Pa-In Palace

A royal summer retreat on the Chao Phraya a few miles downstream from Ayutthaya, with most buildings dating from King Rama V's reign set around ponds in a large park. Styles range from the Thai pavilion in the middle of a pond to a Greek-style hall and the Chinese-style Vehas Jumrune Palace; only the outer zone is open to visitors.
